Based in Rickinghall on the S bend of the B1113 we are a small holding with chickens,  rare breed pigs, red poll cows and a few turkeys.

We breed our own pigs, raise most of our poultry from day olds and buy in weaned cows, focusing on slow grown, outdoor reared animals which we then butcher ourselves and  sell the produce from our farm butchery and at local farmers markets.

 

It all started out with a pig as a birthday present, Gertrude. She had piglets unexpectedly and it just escalated up from there. 

We pursue this life style choice as we believe that animals should have high welfare standards and how they are raised directly impacts the quality of the produce.

As we butcher the animals ourselves we are in control of what we put into our final products and as we we don't want to eat the "extras" that are unnecessarily added to food these days we don't include them .
